Segway Transportation

For those living in large cities, transportation can be something of a dilemma. Segway transportation is an inventive solution that may fit many of your needs without the hassles of other modes. Having a car is impractical in some places because of the cost, as well as the traffic (think New York City during rush hour). There is good public transportation in some places, but a one hour lunch may not leave enough time to talk to and from stops and run your errands. Walking is of course an option, provided you have the time and the weather is nice. Using a Segway solves many of these dilemmas. They are less expensive than a car and small enough to be kept in the entryway of an apartment and parked in any small space at work.

While they may not be as fast as motorized vehicles, over short distances they can be comparable when you consider that you do not have to wait in traffic. Instead of sitting at lights and trying to get over to turn, you can move through traffic and save the waiting time. Segway transportation is faster than walking, with the same freedom to go exactly where you need to go when you want to. The convenience and practicality of these machines have been recognized by such organizations as police departments, which issue them to officers so they can respond more quickly, and tour agencies, which use them to give visitors a more extensive but slower paced look at a city.
