Two back-to-back Executive Board transition meetings were held, the first chaired by current President William Hopper and the second by President-Elect Karl Sagal. During the first meeting, the members of both boards discussed the transition of the offices of President, Vice-President, Secretary and Local Group Coordinator.
During the second meeting, Karl discussed priority items the new board will be addressing. These include
• Appoint Local Group Coordinator and Immediate Past President to Board
• Enhancements to SEG America website (Glider locator, event calendar, web page for local SEGs, photo gallery)
• Create/implement benefits for local SEGs
o Bylaw package; group insurance; web page; photo hosting; calendar; e-mail alerts to local events; merchandise discounts
• Expand SEG America to an International organization
• Issue membership/ID cards
• Published policy and form for E-mail notifications.
• Initiate Business Memberships
• Improve communications with members
o Monthly e-mail to all members; post pictures of the board; publish contact points for the board; institute Suggestion Box
• Publish procedures manual
• Research web site store
