I am honored to accept the nomination for President. I ask for your vote, and will give the job my all.
I am a passionate individual that is ready to step up and do what I can to help forward the interests to the Segway community and to Seg America in particular.
I am involved in many municipal and private committees and clubs. I am familiar with the structure and management of many different types. I will strive to solidify the structure and form of Seg America. Further than that, I am an advocate of open and regular communication between the management of organizations of this sort and encourage open and regular exchanges…
I believe we have made great strides in the past two years. We still have much to do. This year I plan to stress membership and local SEGs. I believe that is where the future of our organization lies. We will continue and enhance open communication with the members, and support segging activities of all sorts. I still have yet to be at a group meeting of Segways and their riders where all did not have a great time! We need to do all that we can to motivate this continued activity…
I believe that local SEGs are a fist line to help with local legislation, and SSEG America and support this activity. Communication again plays a major role. This year is the year that we will really bring the international eggers into the fold. I see SEG America as being a member of a choir of national or regional SEGs throughout the globe. Look for it.
Most people on Segway Chat are somewhat familiar with many of my views. I plan to continue to pursue those positions vigorously! Thanks for your consideration…

Nominee: Jonathan Gleich
Hello, My name is Jonathan I am known on Segway Chat as macgeek, and on The Red Key as the ‘cartoonist’ for “geeks corner. I have been a glider now just over two years, and active in the segway community.
I have gained some notoriety for ‘pimping’ my seg with electronics, and other items. I have also been featured on the news in NY showing how I use my segway to commute to work.
I bring a new enthusiasm to SEGamerica, and also a new approach. I want to infuse technology into SA using skype to hold on conference calls, and recording the calls and making them available for members to download (as a podcast) so they can keep up with the meetings. also set up the website so members can find other members, thru a safe and secure contact form, protecting members from spammers.
I want to set up a National 800 number so a member can find help for simple problems.
Also enable members to have ID cards and Key tags so they can get discounted rates at dealers, tour operators and segway rental companies and if a key is lost it can be dropped into any mailbox for return to
the owner.
These are just a few things listed I want to accomplish this year.

Fred is a CPA in private practice in Los Angeles. He owns two Segway HTs, an i167 as well as an XT. In addition to being the Treasurer for SEG America, he is also the Treasurer of DRAFT.
Fred is the Chairperson of SegwayFest in Long Beach which has the potential for being the best Fest since Chicago. His goal is for the event to exceed all participants’ expectations in being both informative and fun.

Stanley Dobrowski: Candidate for Secretary of SEG America
In 2006, I have decided to run for Secretary of SEG America. I truely believe that SEG America has and will continue to play an important role in the Segway community. I was part of the original group that got together to form SEG America and I was its founding President for a year and a half. During the past year, I have been on the Executive Board as the Immediate Past President.
I feel that it is time for me to change my role in the organization and be helpful in other ways. As Secretary, I will be responsible of the membership roster, the web site and other technical development and all written communications for the club. I have been involved with all of these functions in one way or another over the past two years, but now I would like to be able to focus more deeply on these technical aspects of the club.
SEG America is still in its infancy and has wabbled a bit while trying to take its first steps. This is perfectly natural as the group is growing slowly and developing a base of members and volunteers that are willing to see this club into the future. I would like to help in all the ways that I can to see SEG America rise to the potential I know that it has. Segway enthusiasts are a special bunch of people with a vision of what the future can hold and a taste for being pioneers.
The job of the SEG America club is to help support it’s members in everything they do with the Segway HT. We have to work to get the word out that Segway’s are lots of fun and very useful tools. We have to help members meet and do things with other members. We have to help members with problems they may have with thier machines or with thier local governments. I believe that we can best achive these goals by growing the organization in terms of membership but also in the number of local SEG groups there are. The members and these local groups are the bread & butter and the heart & soul of our organization. All of our efforts must focus on this.
