SEG America Nominations Now Open!
The time has come for the SEG America elections of 2006.
All information on the election will be available exclusively here on this, the SEG America website. Any other site that posts information will need to refer here, as the Official information will only be posted here.
The voting for SEG America officers who comprise the SEG America Executive Board. Detailed descriptions of the office responsibilities are listed in Article 5 of the Bylaws.
The offices to be voted on are as follows:
President – The chief operating officer, who provides leadership and guidance to the club.
Vice President – Assists and substitutes for the President when needed.
Secretary – Records minutes of meetings and serves as official correspondence secretary
Treasurer – Keeps record of all financial transactions
Local Group Coordinator – Supports local SEG activities and coordinates local to national SEG.
The procedure for the eElection of officers will be as follows:
Nominations should be sent to the elections mailbox (elections@segamerica.org) and must include the proper name and communication data for the advanced member in good standing, being nominated, as well as the name and contact info on the person making the nomination, who must also be a member in good standing. Nominations must be received by July 18, 2006.
The elections committee will qualify all nominations for completeness, and will contact the candidates, and collect a short Bio from them. They will then prepare a ballot with the candidates and the offices listed.
Voting will take place from July 25 to August 8, 2006.
An announcement of the vote results will be published by August 15, and new terms start September 1, 2006.
