Each Board member discussed status of office specific items in order to bring all board members up to date.
SEG America By-laws
Fred has arranged for the attorney who incorporated SEG America to review the draft by-laws
Dues
The board decided to table discussion of collection of dues until after SegwayFest in October.
SegwayFest 2006
Fred updated the Board with additional arrangements for SegwayFest. The SegwayFest.com website will be update with new information. The board discussed ways to disseminate information regarding the ban on flying with lithium ion batteries to SegwayFest attendees. The LIons are considered hazardous material and cannot be taken on a passenger plane. If the batteries are shipped separately from the Segway, they must be sent by a certified Haz Mat shipper.
Invitation to attend Executive Board meetings
Each Board meeting will have one or two guests from the local SEGs. Alex is keeping the list of members who wish to attend a meeting. Local SEG leaders and SEG America members who are interested in sitting in on a meeting should contact Alex. Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
