Silicon Valley Aftershocks play the New Zealand Pole Blacks for the WOZ Cup February 18th and 19th in Auckland New Zealand
The Bay Area Segway Enthusiasts Group, founders of Segway HT Polo, are teaming up against the New Zealand Pole Blacks, for the first ever, International Segway HT Polo Match. This challenge of sport played on Segways from two contents will take place February 18th and 19th 2006 at the polo fields in Auckland New Zealand.
The winning team will be awarded the WOZ Cup, sponsored by SEG America. The WOZ Cup will reside with the winning country until the next international match.
Nine team members from the Bay Area SEG will be traveling to Auckland New Zealand to play Segway HT Polo. Segway Polo, also known as SEG Polo brings yet another use for the revolutionary self-balancing Segway Human Transporter. SEG Polo players use specially designed mallets, and soft foam balls to play. Like regular polo, goals are placed on each side of the field, and the team who scores the most goals wins.
Excitement is high in New Zealand, and this match is drawing Segway owners and Enthusiasts from all over to attend. Any one, who brings a Segway HT to the match, will be allowed a chance to try out for an upcoming game.
Other countries have not secured team sponsors, but may still attend and play against the Silicon Valley Aftershocks and the New Zealand Pole Blacks.
