California Segway Enthusiasts, A New SEG Is Starting In Southern California!

As a member of the Segway Enthusiast Group America, we thought you would like to know of a new California Segway Enthusiast Group that is starting.
The following letter is from David Sie of Orange County. If you are not a southern California Glider, but glide to the north, think about joining up with the world renown Bay Area SEG, just outside of San Francisco. http://www.bayareaseg.com/ The Bay Area SEG members will be representing the USA in the upcoming International Segway Polo Games in Auckland New Zealand on February 18th and 19th 2006. The WOZ Cup is the first of its kind in the world.

SEG America has sent the letter below to you on behalf of a Segway owner and avid enthusiast in Orange County who recently established a local Segway Enthusiasts Group, or SEG in your area.
Hello there, I’m Dave!
This is an open invitation to anyone in and around Orange County.
After communicating with Alex Ko, the Local Group Coordinator for the national Segway Enthusiast Group, SegAmerica, http://www.segamerica.org, I’ve volunteered to be a focal point for establishing a local group in Orange County CA., called SEGOC.
The goal in forming a local SEG is to look for Segway owners/enthusiasts who may be interested in getting together with other enthusiasts. Because gliding is so much fun, it figures more gliders would be more fun.
I may have met some of you at a few of the more recent events, since I’ve had my Segway since December of ‘04. I put my name in the hat because I really enjoy my Segway, and I’d like to share that enthusiasm with other gliders, whether that be meeting for coffee for a few minutes, or playing polo for an hour. Also, I’d like to see some more opportunities for group glides, & events, etc. in and around Orange County, such as parades, nature walks (glides), tours, maybe even a golf game or two…
We may not have a lot of activity at first, but with your help, I hope that this group can grow to a size where any event or activity will see at least a few of us attending.
If you’re not a regular on http://www.segwaychat.com , this forum will be a great way to stay updated on local activities in and around Orange County.
