Executive Summary
SA Board met by teleconference, Ko, Hopper, Sagal and Dobrowski were in attendance, Krogman and Kaplan were excused. Minutes from 11/02 postponed until they were in attendance. Chris Johnson from Red Key and Portland SEG was the SA guest.
With winter the local SEGs and SEG Sport activities have slowed down. Planning is starting for Segway Fest 2006, with several local SEGs/Dealer – Tour Companies showing an interest in hosting the event. A trip to investigate Copper Colorado was done. It would be a good place for the SEG Polo World Cup, but at this point with so few teams playing, it will be a few years off. President Hopper spoke with Jim Reynolds who organized the 2003 & 2004 SegwayFests and was told by him that at this time he has no plans on holding a SegwayFest, but would be willing to assist SA if requested. Total attendance for 2005 was 226.
A review of the SA Website is underway and updates to it will happen as time allows. A SA member locater is under review
SA By-Laws Committee Meeting is planned for 11/30 and will be chaired by Vice-President Karl Sagal
President Hopper has been named to be the DC motorized representative to the National Recreational Trails User group. This group is made up of members from each state that helps identify and plan uses for recreational trails countrywide.
SA Membership benefits were discussed and with the many new paying members joining and renewing SA members, the importance of welcoming them with their membership packet.
Chris Johnson talked about the RED KEY, its past and future plans.
