Summary - SEG America Members Meeting: 9/24/2005

Board members present:
Will Hopper – President
Karl Sagal – Vice President
Fred Kaplan – Treasurer
Joanne Krogman – Secretary

Will gave a brief overview of the organization’s current status.
Each board member was introduced and spent several minutes telling the audience about themselves and their vision for SEG America

Questions and suggestions were taken from the floor. Topics covered included:

• Member involvement - Will asked for assistance with the website. Jon Rutherford and Tim Kanaley volunteered to help.

• Legislation – A comment from the floor requested that SEG America should get more involved in legislative efforts, perhaps appointing a Legislative Officer. The website should also have a repository of current legislation from around the country

• Contacting other owners – Owners want to connect with other owners. They would like to see if there are owners in a particular geographic area and be able to contact them. There was some discussion on how this would work to ensure the privacy of members. The SEG America board indicated that once the details have been worked out, this will be implemented quickly.

• Communication - In response to a question regarding official means of communication, the board stated that all communications would be posted on the SEG America website.

• By-laws - The board indicated that by-laws are a priority and are in-process.

• Directory of Dealers – A request was made for the SEG America website to have a directory of dealers,
